Lima, Arequipa, Colca Canyon, Puno, Sacred Valley & Cusco
This is the most complete package that we offer to our clients to know the most famous attractions of the south of Peru, starting our tour we will visit the capital city of Peru – Lima and we will be able to visit the main square and the government palace, Then we will take a 1 hour flight that will allow us to reach the white city of Arequipa and enjoy the delicious Arequipa food while we observe the great Misti volcano considered the guardian of the city, then we will take a trip to explore the Colca Canyon considered the most important in South America and discover the scenic beauty of the place and enjoy the flight of the majestic Andean condor.
We will travel from Arequipa to Puno taking a paved road of almost 300 km. arriving at the altiplano of Puno, we will be able to sail on Lake Titicaca and stroll among the floating islands of the uros and enjoy the good attention of the locals.
Then we will take the route that goes from Puno to Cusco and enjoy the most beautiful bus trip in the south of Peru because of the scenic formation and the attractions to visit on the route.
Arriving in the Sacred Valley we will visit the salt mines in Maras and the Inca complexes such as Ollantaytambo, Chinchero and Moray.
To culminate our trip we will visit one of the 7 wonders of the world Machu Picchu and explore every part of this Inca town.
On the way back to Cusco we will fill up on energy as we walk through the cobblestone streets and discover the Inca temples hidden behind the facades of the Catholic temples.
Intinerario
Day 01:Transfer from Lima airport to the hotel.
Our company representative will meet you at the airport and accompany you to your hotel for check in.
Day 02: City Tour in Lima
This day we will start our tour visiting the church of San Francisco, and the Plaza Mayor. After visiting the historical part of Lima we will have lunch. After lunch we will go to visit the most important museum of Peru called Larco Herrera and discover all the pre-Inca and Inca treasures. (B,L,D)
Day 03: Flight to Arequipa
This day we will leave the hotel in Lima early in the morning and transfer to Lima airport to take the domestic flight to Arequipa. After an hour flight we will land at Arequipa airport, then we will have lunch at a traditional “Picanteria Arequipa” (local traditional restaurant). After lunch we will start our city tour discovering why Arequipa is known as the white city of Peru.
In the afternoon transfer to the hotel check-in and dinner at the hotel (B,L,D).
Day 04: Bus ride from Arequipa to Chivay
This day we will leave the hotel and board our private transport to the Colca Canyon. Along the way we will stop to spot vicuñas and beautiful snow-capped mountains. We will approach 15000 feet once we reach the pass between Arequipa and the Colca Canyon. After 6 hours of driving we will arrive at the Colca Canyon. check in at the hotel and dinner included (B,BL,D).
Day 05: Bus trip to the Condor’s Cross
On this day we will take a bus trip to the condor cross to see the condors and take some pictures. This trip takes approximately 4 hours. After watching the condors flying above us we will start our journey through the colca canyon, we will stop in different villages to visit their squares and see their people doing their daily activities. lunch in a typical restaurant and then in the afternoon return to the hotel.(B,L)
Day 06: Bus trip from Arequipa to Puno City
We leave the hotel early in the morning and start this wonderful bus trip to the Puno region. Along the way we will see vicuñas, vizcachas and flamingos near the lagoons. This is a beautiful trip because we can see active volcanoes from the road, box lunch is included and in the afternoon we will go to visit the impressive pre-Inca ceremonial tombs in the area of Sillustani, then we will continue our journey to check in at the hotel in Puno (B,L).
Day 07: Full day tour exploring Lake Titicaca.
This day we will leave the hotel early in the morning to visit the famous Lake Titicaca and discover the mysteries hidden in its blue waters.
Our first stop will be the floating islands of the uros, where we will have a full explanation of the habits and customs of its inhabitants. We will continue our journey to the island of Taquile where we will have a welcome lunch and visit the important attractions of this remote island. In the afternoon we will take our boat back to Puno, where we have our scheduled dinner in the city (B,L,D).
Day 08: Bus trip from Puno to Cusco
They say that this journey by vehicle from Puno to Cusco is the most beautiful that exists in Peru, as we will make a transition from the altiplano to the Quechua zone visiting and stopping at the attractions that we will find along the 10 hour journey. Our first stop will be at the point called la raya which is located at 4400 meters above sea level where we can see the dividing line between Puno and Cusco, then we will visit the temple of Raqchi, in the village of the same name, after stopping for lunch we will continue our journey arriving to the imperial city of Cusco to go to our hotel and rest. Day 09: Sacred Valley Tour.
This day we will start our tour visiting the fertile Sacred Valley of the Incas and visit the salt mines of Maras, the Inca Terraces of Moray and the village of Ollantaytambo, then we will have a buffet lunch in a tourist restaurant. After lunch we will return to the hotel to rest and prepare for a special dinner at the home of a local family in the Sacred Valley. After dinner we will return to the hotel to rest (B,L).
Day 10: Full day excursion to Machu Picchu.
This day we will leave the hotel early and head to the train station in Ollantaytambo where we will board our train to Machu Picchu. The train ride is very enjoyable as it allows us to explore the jungle of Cusco and see a different area of Cusco.
Arriving at the train station in Aguas Calientes we will take the bus to the Inca Llaqta and begin our tour accompanied by our expert guide who will tell us the history of Machu Picchu. After a delicious lunch we head to the hotel to check in and rest for the night (B,L,D).
Day 11: Tour to Machu Picchu.
This day we will have the option to revisit Machu Picchu and climb Wayna Picchu or the Machu Picchu Mountains. After lunch we will take our train back to the village of Ollantaytambo and then take the transport back to Cusco (B,L).
Day 12: City tour in Cusco
This day we will start the morning visiting and discovering this historic city of Cusco, we will walk through its narrow cobbled streets, which show us the fusion of Inca and 16th century constructions. We will visit the Inca complex of Sacsayhuaman with its huge stones of more than 100 tons, we will visit the cathedral of Cusco and its more than 400 paintings of the “Cusco school” of the 16th century. To finish our tour we will visit the temple of Qoricancha or Santo Domingo and discover the most representative and highest quality Inca architecture. After the tour we will have the afternoon free. Day 13: Free day
This day you have the opportunity to take one of our day programs,
a spiritual tour in Cusco, or maybe a cooking class or just time for shopping. Farewell dinner ( B,D)
Day 14: Flight back to Lima.
This morning you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Lima. End of services. (B)
