Lima – Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Cusco and Puno
Peru is one of the most beautiful countries in the region of South America due to its great amount of landscapes and biodiversity, this programme is designed to visit the most important places in the navel of the world Cusco, walk the streets of the ancient capital of the Incas, taste a rich gastronomy, take a private transport and visit the fertile Sacred Valley of the Incas and crown your trip with a two day visit to Machu Picchu “the new wonder of the world”. This programme is an invitation to discover your adventurous side by exploring this beautiful country with your personal and qualified guide.
We will continue our journey through the south of Peru to reach the city of Puno and visit the great Lake Titicaca, considered the origin of the Inca civilization. We will sail its crystal clear waters and visit the Uros people, famous for building their floating islands with local materials.
Intinerario
Day 01: Transfer from Lima airport to the hotel.
Transfer from Lima airport to the residential district of Miraflores where our hotel is located. Check-in at the hotel.
Day 02: Visit to the city of Lima
We will start this day visiting the historical part of the city of Lima, also known as the city of the kings. We will start our tour visiting the catacombs in the church of San Francisco, then we will visit the Plaza Mayor.
After the corresponding photos we will go to the muerzo in the district of pueblo libre and have lunch at the “Hacienda Queirolo”. After a traditional Peruvian lunch we will continue our tour visiting the Larco Museum (considered the most important museum in the country) and then we will return to the hotel to rest. (B,L)
Day 03: Flight to Cusco, transfer to the Sacred Valley
This day we will leave early from the hotel in Miraflores and head to Lima airport to take our local flight from Lima to Cusco. After an hour’s drive, we will arrive in the city of Cusco. Then we will travel from Cusco to the Sacred Valley and on the way we will visit the textile centre in the village of the “Andean weavers” Chinchero, where we will have an exhibition and presentation of the Andean weavings made by the local women weavers. We will have lunch on the way to the hotel and arrive at our final destination in the afternoon. (B,L)
Day 04: Full day tour of the Sacred Valley.
We will depart from the hotel to visit the most important villages and places of the Sacred Valley of the Inkas. We will start our tour visiting the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo and Moray, then we will visit the famous salt mines of Maras. After visiting these places we will have lunch. In the afternoon we will return to the hotel and rest. (B,L)
Day 05: Tour to Machupicchu.
Early departure from the hotel to the train station in Ollantaytambo, then we will take the train that will take us to the Inca complex wonder of the world.
Arriving at the town of Aguas Calientes, we will take the bus that will take us to the main entrance of Machupicchu. Our tour will last for 3 hours visiting the sacred squares and temples of this magical place. After the tour, we will have lunch to celebrate this special visit. Then we will go to the hotel where we will check in to stay tonight in the town of aguas calientes. our dinner will be included.

Day 06: Second day of Machupicchu Tour
This day we will have the option to return to Machupicchu and hike and climb the mountains that surround this magical place. Then we will have lunch and in the afternoon we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, and then we will board our private transport back to Cusco. ( B,L)
Day 07: City Tour in Cusco
Today we will have our city tour in Cusco, discovering every historical place in this city. We will start the tour visiting the impressive Inca complex of Sacsayhuaman that will be waiting for us with its monumental stones of more than 100 tons of weight. Then we will go to visit the temple of the sun or qoricancha, to finish the tour visiting the cathedral of Cusco.
After the tour we will have the afternoon free to explore the city on our own (B).
Day 08: Travel by bus from Cusco to Puno.
This day we will leave Cusco early in order to visit important places on the route from Cusco to Puno. Through more than 300 km of distance we will pass through the picturesque villages of Andahuaylillas, visit the Inca complex of Raqchi, considered the largest temple to the god Wiracocha built in the land of the Incas.
We will arrive at 4400 m.a.s.l. at Abra la raya, a place that geographically divides Cusco from the Puna territory.
In the afternoon we will visit the pre-Inca ceremonial tombs of Sillustani and then we will arrive to the city of Puno, considered as the folkloric capital of Peru.(B,L)
Day 09: Uros Island and Lake Titikaka Tour
This day we will visit the Sacred side of the Incas, called Titicaca, because according to the legends of the place this lake was the origin of the Inca families and due to this historical fact it is considered until today as a sacred lake.
We will visit the floating islands of the uros and learn about their traditions and customs, interacting with their inhabitants who are very friendly and charismatic people. After a very interesting morning we will return to the hotel and have the afternoon free to discover the city of Puno on our own. (B,L)
Day 10: Flight to Lima
Departure from the hotel to the airport in the city of Juliaca to take our flight back to Lima. Arriving at our destination we will have the afternoon free for shopping and in the evening our farewell dinner. (B,L,D)
